About Us

LaVon and Jessica I am Jessica. You might know me already. I own and operate Very Baby. I also run this website, Tallulah Baby, for my grandmother, LaVon as she does not have internet access in her home.

Grandma LaVon has been sewing Very Baby products since before they were Very Baby! When I first started designing my own diaper patterns to sell through my online fabric store, my Grandma was by my side, sewing prototypes and testers. Later, when I purchased an existing diapering company, Grandma sewed diapers from those purchased patterns that we sold through her own website.

I re-drafted, re-drew, and re-worked the pattern line into what you now know as Very Baby. For a year, I maintained an online shopping cart at the Very Baby website where I gathered orders for my Grandmother to sew. As the Very Baby company developed and grew to offer pattern licensing, I moved Grandma here, to Tallulah Baby, to work as an Official Very Baby Licensee.

Why Tallulah Baby?
Being the first grandchild on both sides of the family, I was showered with attention and quickly grew to love the spotlight. My grandmother often called me Tallulah May during my youth after the actress, Tallulah Bankhead. While I’m a lot more shy now than I was at age 2, the nickname sort of stuck, and even today you can still hear her calling me Tallulah from time to time - as such, we thought Tallulah Baby would be a perfect name for this website.

We hope to help you cloth diaper your own little drama queen (or king!) in beautiful, comfortable, effective cloth diapers.

My grandmother is a very talented seamstress but does not have internet access and can’t be bothered to learn how to operate e-mail (she says she can barely handle her new digital camera). As a result, when you e-mail with questions, you’ll likely be talking to me, or LaVon’s youngest daughter, and my aunt, Suzanne.
